BIO

Born and raised in West Phoenix, CHRISISICK — conceived by combining first and middle name’s Chris and Isaac — first appeared on the Phoenix hip-hop scene with his debut single, One Step at a Time, in 2019.

Growing up, Chris’ first connection with music was through his parents’ collection of hip-hop and oldies including Mos Def, Lauryn Hill, Twista, The Temptations, Al Green, and Brenton Wood.
After discovering a knack for writing hip-hop lyrics, he strived to create the same type of music that spoke to him during his childhood.

Growing frustrated with the perception of hip-hop, especially around his local music scene, he co-founded the music collective Channels of Thought. After gaining momentum by releasing a song per week and touring locally they were put to a halt by the Covid-19 pandemic. This lead to Chris refocusing on working on his own music due to being isolated. His new upcoming release, Isick, is his debut EP, documenting his experiences and emotions finding himself and creating his signature style during the pandemic.

Using advanced wordplay and relatable lyricism, he is able to impress audiences while performing with engaging crowd control, making him a spectacle at any venue.
